This is a poem inspired by a photo by Todd Hido. I recommend reading it while listening to Ode to Vivian by Patrick Walton because that's what was playing when I wrote this.
#7552-6 by Todd Hido
It is raining, the road is slippery
Trees pass
and pass
and pass
And I ask myself where am I? Is there a reason?
It is freezing, the dirt soaks
The breeze blows
And blows
I know
I’m nowhere, but at least I am free
No one looking, no cars for miles
I’m free
I’m free
But he
Won’t leave my mind, he is my demons
It is raining, the road is slippery
He
He
Me
It is still me inside, that is my reason
